With the elections looming, "team 1" (men's team) is withdrawing.
We recently received the message (see above) that team 1 (men's team) is withdrawing as a candidate for the board elections.
It's a shame about this message, but especially a shame about this tone.
Integrity of the electoral commission
It is particularly regrettable that the independent electoral commission/polling station is being involved in this. The suggestion that the elections are not being conducted fairly is a direct attack on the integrity of the three commission members. These members are regarded by the vast majority as neutral and expert, and have selflessly dedicated their time and energy to drawing up a watertight electoral protocol.
This protocol, in which honesty and transparency form the core (see appendix), is the result of careful and ethical work. The fact that this process is being called into question without any substantiation casts an unnecessary shadow over our association.
It would be to the gentlemen's team's credit if they immediately rectified this unpleasant situation with the members of the election committee, and if their writer(s) were prevented from making such unfounded statements in the future.
In any case, the board would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the three members of the polling station for all their efforts. Hopefully, this blueprint can be used for elections in the near future! |
