Results of the "non-AGM" evening – Thursday, February 26
The evening of February 26 — which ultimately did not become an AGM — was, to be honest, a success. With 50+ attendees The atmosphere was great from the start. We started as we should: sitting together at the table, eating harmoniously, catching up, laughing. For a moment, it felt like the association was just a "club" again.
But after dinner the tone changed. The debate flared up — heatedly, at times sharply — and revolved mainly around one thing: How do we get out of this impasse and how do we organize an AGM that is considered valid and fair by everyone?
Request for an Extraordinary General Meeting
During the evening a request was made for a Extraordinary General Meeting. Signatures were also placed. However, it later turned out that the number of signatures not enough was to formally enforce this process.
New date: AGM on March 26
In the meantime, the board has promised that the AGM will still take place on Wednesday 26 March.
And importantly: there has already been a electoral commission reported that independent of the board will ensure the smooth running of the elections and compliance with the AGM. That's exactly what we need: trust and a transparent process. Thanks for that!
“Is the current board still a board?”
This question was also explicitly asked that evening — let's just call it "the meeting," because it was definitely more than just a dinner.
The outcome was clear: only a small group felt that the current board should no longer be entitled to call itself a board of the NVTH(C). For the vast majority, this was therefore not a point that paralyzes or blocks us. We can move on—toward the election and transfer.
At the same time, we would like to correct something here. The existing board apologizes for any confusion our communication may have caused. Apparently, this has made it unclear to some that we would remain until the AGM. Sorry for the confusion this has caused.
Moving forward together – in harmony
The "non-AGM" evening also revealed something positive: despite heated discussions, there is a broad desire to move forward together. We therefore approach the AGM on March 26th with renewed energy, and hopefully with more confidence—with an election committee, clear agreements, and room for a smooth transition to a new board.
Personal closing remarks (Patricius)
Finally, something personal. Over the past three years, as a director, I have often wondered whether our work was actually appreciated. But the heat that I felt this evening was sincere to me heartwarming. I want to thank everyone for that.
I see my farewell — when the time comes — with good hope and even fun to meet. |
